Guy Ritchie's "WRATH OF MAN"

Guy Ritchie's "WRATH OF MAN"

Movie review by Dennis D. McDonald

I had written off Jason Statham due to a string of comic book style crime and action films. I was wrong.

Statham inhabits the role of a revenge-seeking mercenary like a hand in a snug fitting and extremely flexible glove. Add the exemplary direction and editing of Guy Ritchie—minus the quips and pub focus of some earlier films—and we have here a contemplative, humorless, and intense tale punctuated by frequent exquisitely-choreographed action sequences.

Recommended.
