A movie review by Dennis D. McDonald

Plot summary:

  • Devout priest volunteers for medical experiment
  • Becomes lustful vampire as a result
  • Sex/violence/building-hopping/tragedy ensue

What’s Good:

  • Chock-full of interesting and funny character details that entertainingly transcend the Korean source to be instantly recognizable by anyone with a sense of humor
  • Beautiful photography and editing
  • Great acting
  • Wonderful variety of characters
  • Much sly humor
  • A lovely leading lady, Kim Ok-bin

What’s Bad:

  • A bit too long.

Recommendation:

  • If you like quirky vampire movies and can tolerate lots of sex, blood, and religious satire, check this one out.
