Renaming DRM: A Modest Proposal

There's a disagreement on what DRM means. Some think it means "digital rights management." Some think it REALLY means "digital restrictions management."

As a compromise, how about rechristening DRM as DIGITAL ACCESS AUTHORITY, defined as follows:

"DIGITAL ACCESS AUTHORITY (DAA) refers to the body of technology, law, and business processes that govern rights and permissions associated with the creation, sale, distribution, copying, and use of intellectual property in electronic form."
